Volunteer of the Month - October 2009

Lorraine Gale has been selected as our October Volunteer of the Month. She has spent nearly every day at Greenville for the past thre years volunteering her time to teach math. She has also served two years on the School Community Council for two years. We extend our gratitude to Lorraine for all the time and energy she has spent making Greenville a better place.

If know of someone you would like to nominate as Greenville's Volunteer of the Month, pick up a form in the PTA drawer in the school office.

School Savings Program from Lewiston State Bank

Lewiston State Bank has informed us that they have a savings program for students that helps teach them to save while they are young. This is a free service and available to all students. Bank representatives will come to our school once a week and take student deposits in any amount.

We are looking for feedback and interest in this program. Is this a program that you would like to see us implement at Greenville? Please post a comment on the blog and let us know what you think.

Come Have Fun at the Fall Festival!

This year's fall festival is Friday, October 30th from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm. There will be fun for all ages! Kids win a prize with every game. There will be lots of food - pizza, cookies, cotton candy, popcorn, and soda. New this year is a costume contest - judging will be at 7:00 pm.

Each punch pass (12 games per punch pass) is $3.00 - bring your PTA membership card for a $1.00 discount on one punch card. You can avoid the lines for passes that night and buy them in the gym all day on Friday.

We will also be selling Greenville Dragons tshirts at the carnival. We hope to see everybody there!
